EXTRON 7

EXTRON 7 is DRTECH’s premium mobile C-arm designed for advanced surgical imaging. It combines a 15 kW high-power generator, a large 30 × 30 cm field-of-view option, advanced image-processing technologies, and positioning features intended to support demanding surgical procedures, including spine, trauma, and vascular imaging.  

The system uses an IGZO flat panel detector, available in 23 × 23 cm and 30 × 30 cm configurations with a 148 μm pixel size. Its 15 kW generator is paired with a rotating-anode X-ray tube with 0.3 / 0.6 mm focal spots, providing the high-power imaging configuration that distinguishes EXTRON 7 within the EXTRON range.  

Advanced Imaging

EXTRON 7 is designed for advanced spine, trauma, and vascular imaging. DRTECH combines its high-power imaging platform with a large detector field of view and advanced image processing to support visualization of complex anatomical structures during surgical procedures.  

TRUDose — Low-Dose Imaging Technology

EXTRON 7 incorporates DRTECH’s TRUDose technologies for dose optimization and image processing. The system includes RNR (Real-time Noise Reduction), AIDC (AI Dose Control), and AOD (AI Object Detection).  

RNR — Real-time Noise Reduction analyzes image movement in real time, helping maintain clarity in moving regions while reducing noise in stationary areas.

AIDC — AI Dose Control uses AI-based image analysis to recognize the imaging subject and actively adjust radiation dose according to the target area’s brightness.

AOD — AI Object Detection identifies objects other than the patient within the surgical image and incorporates this information into image processing to minimize whitening effects caused by metal interference.

TRUMOTION — Positioning & Workflow

EXTRON 7 also incorporates DRTECH’s TRUMOTION features designed around positioning and operating-room workflow.  

Wide Free Space & Depth provides space around the C-arm for positioning during procedures. The system provides 80.3 cm (31.6”) of free space and a 74 cm (29”) C-arc depth.

Dual Hinge Monitor Arm is included among DRTECH’s EXTRON 7 TRUMOTION features, providing flexible monitor positioning within the operating environment.

Dual Backup System is also part of the EXTRON 7 TRUMOTION feature set, supporting the system’s workflow design.
