About the Conference

The 2026 BARC Behaviour and Rehabilitation Conference, presented by the Society of BC Veterinarians (SBCV), takes place September 12–13, 2026, at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond, British Columbia.

The two-day, in-person conference focuses on the latest diagnostics, treatment options and research for veterinarians interested in behaviour and rehabilitation. The program brings together veterinary professionals for continuing education covering a range of topics related to animal behaviour, rehabilitation, pain, mobility, neurological conditions and diagnostic imaging.

The conference begins Saturday at 7:30 AM and concludes Sunday at 4:30 PM. Attendees can participate in dedicated Behaviour and Rehabilitation streams featuring presentations from veterinary professionals and specialists.

Our Participation

MEDNA Medical Equipment Inc. will be participating in the 2026 BARC Conference in Richmond. Attendees can visit MEDNA at Booth Minoru B/C during the event.

MEDNA works with veterinary practices across Canada, providing veterinary equipment and diagnostic imaging solutions, including digital X-ray and ultrasound, as well as installation, calibration, technical support and ongoing service.

The conference provides an opportunity for veterinary professionals to meet the MEDNA team, discuss their practice’s equipment and imaging requirements, and learn more about solutions available for new installations, equipment upgrades and existing veterinary practices.

Our Radiography Session

MEDNA Medical Equipment Inc. is proud to sponsor the Sunday Rehabilitation Stream radiography session, scheduled from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on September 13.

The session is presented by Erin Keenihan, BVMS, MVetMed, MANZCVS, DECVDI, and includes two radiography presentations:

Canine Spinal Radiographs: Patterns, Pitfalls, and Practical Tips

This presentation focuses on canine spinal radiography, including image acquisition and interpretation considerations that can help veterinary professionals evaluate spinal radiographs effectively.

Canine Appendicular Radiography from Acquisition to Interpretation

This presentation explores appendicular radiography from image acquisition through interpretation, providing practical information relevant to evaluating canine musculoskeletal conditions.

Together, the presentations provide practical education in veterinary radiography and diagnostic imaging as part of Sunday’s Rehabilitation Stream.
